Get a first hand view of how we raise our lambs throughout the seasons on our small, family-operated farm in mid-Michigan. Nestled in the middle of the mitten state between Lansing and Jackson and almost equal distance from Grand Rapids and the greater Detroit area, we can deliver lamb throughout the lower half of the lower peninsula.
Raising lambs in Michigan has some unique challenges, especially in our area. Often we have wet springs that prevent lambs from going out on pasture, even when grass is growing. Then we also often have dry late summers, so we have to manage our pastures accordingly. Because winters can be bitter cold, we prefer to lamb in the barn, both for our comfort and the sheep’s! We’ll capture our farm during each season on our videos.
